About Shirley

My name is Shirley Hampton, I have lived in Amador County since 2000, married to an awesome man of God, have 4 grown adult children and 9 grandkids. My husband and I have owned and operated a small but profitable business serving Amador and Calaveras counties since 2006.

In 2011 my heart’s desire was to help, comfort and support people in their greatest time of need. I became a Disaster Relief Chaplain serving with FDR (Foursquare Disaster Relief) and continue to support and serve in disaster relief efforts as a Task Force lead and Advance team lead.

In 2015 I was introduced to Law Enforcement Chaplaincy and began my education and certification credentials through ICPC (International Conference of Police Chaplains), which I currently hold a Basic Level membership with.

I have obtained and continue my crisis intervention training through ICISF (International Critical Incident Stress Foundation), with training such as CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management), moral injury, suicide prevention, etc.

I’m FEMA trained in ICS (Incident Command System) along with AED and First Aid training through the Red Cross.

My endorsement comes from Foursquare Chaplains International as a licensed ordained minister. Serving under Law Enforcement Chaplains and as a Specialist Chaplain, which I assist in ethical and onboarding interviews for new and existing FCI Chaplains.

Since 2020 I have served with a team of Professional Chaplains with the CCC (California Chaplain Corps) which is contracted with the state of California for our law enforcement officers within the CDCR (California Department of Corrections Rehabilitation) along with other state agencies who call upon our critical incident intervention team. Our training is POST (Police Officer Standard Training) with continued education required annually.

It is my privilege and honor to serve our Law Enforcement Officers, their families, office staff and the community of Amador County as a Senior Chaplain for the ACLEC (Amador County Law Enforcement Chaplains) since 2019. It is a great and scared calling that has been placed on my life to be able to bring hope and light into the darkness of this world and I strive to be the best that I can be while I walk out my mission to “Protect the protector through emotional and spiritual care”.
