About ACLEC

Amador County Law Enforcement Chaplains are certified Post trauma and crisis responders. We are POST (Police Officer Standard Training) certified. ICPC (International Conference of Police Chaplains) members. CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management) trained. We pass background checks, pass two oral interviews, agree to the ICPC Code of Conduct, and agree to continuing education.

We are constitutional Chaplains, serving with a secular purpose, being religious neutral and avoiding excessive government entanglement.

Secular Purpose

Is the provision of physical and emotional support during times of crisis. Having a secular purpose does not exclude spiritual help.

Religious neutral

Means a Chaplain can provide support for a person of any faith or no faith at any time. Neutrality does not mean giving up one’s faith or position.

Avoiding Excessive government Entanglement

By maintaining a history of operational separation between the agencies policies and procedures and matters of religious practice, content, or interpretation. Government entanglement does not mean they are telling you what to believe, what not to believe or how to believe.
