My name is Stan Hampton. I moved to Amador County in 1978 to open a branch plumbing shop for a plumbing contractor I had been working for in Twain Harte, CA. In 2006 my wife and I opened a new hearth store in Jackson and have been operating that to the present time.
I began my journey into Chaplaincy in 2011 when I took a training course for Foursquare Disaster Relief. After becoming a Disaster Relief worker, I wanted to further enhance my education, knowledge, and ability to help those that are many times in the worst time of their lives. Sometimes it was wildfire, a tornado, hurricane, or flooding.
In 2015 I took a weeklong training put on by the International Conference of Police Chaplains. It was at this training and through the many officers, speakers, and trainers that I began to have a real heart desire to understand our Law Enforcement Officers better. To learn as much as I can about the difficult things they go through and see and to be able to be a confidential listening ear.
I am a Licensed Ordained Minister of the Foursquare International Church, a Chaplain with Foursquare Chaplains International, International Conference of Police Chaplains Basic member, California Chaplain Corps Chaplain, and Amador Law Enforcement Chaplain.
I have had training in crisis intervention through ICISF (International Critical Incident Stress Foundation) with training like CISM (Critical Incident Stress Management), Suicide Prevention, Moral Injury, etc.
I am FEMA trained in the Incident Command System and First Aid and AED through the Red Cross.
